Care Information
How to care for your products
As your piece is handmade, I recommend you always take care of your jewellery. Store in a dry safe place, away from dust and direct sunlight. Even though polymer clay is durable and strong it still needs to be cared for correctly because it can be easily broken with improper use and storage, especially if the design is delicate - earring boards are great!
Even though polymer clay itself is waterproof we recommend keeping them away from water, avoid contact with makeup, hair products and perfume as lighter coloured clay may stain if it comes in contact with these products. If you do get makeup on your earrings wipe them off gently with a soft cloth or baby wipe. Use mild detergent if necessary.
All jewellery that has any metal components such as silver, rose gold, brass etc may tarnish over time, this happens to all metals. You can clean by polishing with a jewellery cloth. Brass cleans up beautifully with water, baking soda with a small amount of lemon mixed. Use a cotton bud or ball, and gently wipe over the brass components. Dry with a cloth.
Whilst I use premium quality products to produce my jewellery, they can be susceptible to damage or breakage if not looked after. I recommend carrying them in a container or box that cannot be bent or squashed during travel.
IMPORTANT SAFETY WARNING
PLEASE do NOT allow any children to play with, wear or chew on your jewellery. They are NOT for teething purposes at all and will break when chewed on - which is a potential choking hazard. NEVER leave a child unsupervised around your jewellery, beads are small and could be a SERIOUS choking hazard.
